Last year the literary prize " Latisana for the North East" was hit by a trail of controversy that led to the resignation of the chairman of the awards Paul Maurensig Mario and sworn Turello, after the City Council of Latisana decided to exclude Professor Sciuto by the jury of the prize for incompatibility between the role of institutional and municipal council to the jury. This is the official version.
In fact, the adviser and dean Sciuto and a man of great culture, in my opinion was purged (I say this assuming all the responsibilities of the case) using the method appropriate to the Stalinist regime, because they are too uncomfortable the new levers of the political landscape Latisana, which once again showed their cultural limitations.

What happens after one year?
With Council resolution No. 73 of 27.03.2008 , the administration proceeded to appoint the Jury Prize of Literature, where among the jurors there is Mauro Tecovic , councilor newly elected between the rows of the center-right to the last local elections in the municipality of San Giorgio di Nogaro.
Then, as the Administration has excluded the prof. Sciuto because it is incompatible with the municipal council was role as a juror, we group left the center we have filed an interpellation in which we ask same as the administration intends to proceed in resolving this unusual situation.
